January Meeting

At the January meeting of the Strafford Town Republican Committee we discussed the rise in drug addiction in New Hampshire and the various proposals to try to reduce and manage this challenge.  One of the areas reviewed with this was High School drug prevention classes and their efficacy.  The recent failure of an attempt to change the First Amendment was discussed and of course much oaring in about the choices for President with talk of the voting demographic during the 2012 elections.  We also talked about who was running for United States House from our First District as well as the gubernatorial and senatorial candidates. We then spoke of the electrical market in New Hampshire and how some businesses are considering leaving New Hampshire due to the high cost of electricity.  We also spoke of how some of the incentives for solar and renewable energy are contributing to the increased rates in New Hampshire.
